The only shopping mall in Mangalore was a delight to watch and come sunday people throng there for what ???!!! just to window shop. This was in 1995 and Youngesters had a fashion statement "I am in Saibeen or lets meet at Saibeen". Those were the splendid days when the fame of Saibeen complex was at its zenith and there was the display of swollen pride.
Time like the untamed beast does not wait..just goes ahead..and see what happens.
As time flew the early 21st century arrived, there was an explosion of sophistication and there came the giants who started holding their ground with much bigger structures of grandeur.The talk of the town were the new ones and slowly the old player started losing its charm. The ones blazing lights were sidelined as so not-so-modern, slowly the rush of people mitigated and the ones most admired lost its charm.The new ones like the empire mall, city center took over its place.

What is new today is old tomorrow..the new replaces the old...finally nothing lasts forever.
